Privacy policy

This notice explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us.

At a glance: This website itself uses no analytics or marketing services, embeds no videos or forms, and uses no non-essential cookies. However, visits generate technically necessary server data at the hosting provider. External services are accessed only when you click a link.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access the website, IONOS processes technically necessary data in server logs. These may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested file, the volume of data transferred, the referring URL, browser type, operating system and access status.

This processing is necessary to provide the website, maintain stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website.

Log data is retained only for as long as necessary for operation, security and error analysis. It is then deleted or anonymised in accordance with the retention periods applicable to the IONOS hosting service used. We do not combine this data with other sources or use it to create user profiles.

IONOS acts as a processor in providing the technical service. The contractual basis is a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.

Further information is available in the IONOS privacy notice.

3. Encrypted connection

The website is provided over an encrypted HTTPS connection. This protects transmitted data against interception by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

4. Contact and email communication

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the data you provide to respond to your enquiry. This may include your name, contact details, the content of your enquiry and subsequent correspondence.

Depending on the enquiry, processing is necessary to take pre-contractual steps or perform a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or serves our legitimate interest in handling enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where you have given consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR is the legal basis.

We delete the data once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations or other legitimate grounds require its continued retention.

Email mailboxes under the future-skills-institut.de domain are provided by IONOS. In addition to message content, communication data such as sender, recipient, time and technical delivery information may be processed. Recipients are the people responsible for handling the enquiry and IONOS in providing the technical service.

5. Cookies, audience measurement and embedded content

We do not use analytics or marketing services on this website. No external videos, maps, social media feeds or forms are directly embedded. The website itself uses no non-essential cookies.

If the functions or services used change, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and obtain consent in advance where required.

6. Downloads and external links

PDF downloads

The PDFs offered on this website are hosted on the same web server as the website. Downloading a document therefore generates the same technically necessary server logs as other website visits. We do not require registration, measure download audiences or analyse downloads at an individual level.

External services

Our website contains links to services provided by others. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website and establish a direct connection to the respective provider. That provider is generally responsible for any subsequent processing of personal data.

Parent survey on Tally

The parent survey link leads to an external form provided by Tally. The form is not embedded in this website, so merely visiting this website does not transfer data to Tally. Only when you open the link do the study’s separate privacy information and the Tally privacy policyapply. Participation in the survey is voluntary unless otherwise expressly indicated. Please do not enter names or other information directly identifying children or other third parties in free-text fields.

My Future Skills App

The link to the companion app leads to a separate external service. The app is not embedded in this website, so merely visiting this website does not transfer data to the app. Registration, use, stored self-assessments and any account deletion are governed by the privacy information provided within the app. You can also consult the Lovable privacy notice.

7. Recipients and data processing arrangements

Personal data is shared only with people and service providers who need it for the stated purposes. We use IONOS in particular for hosting and email services. Where a service provider processes personal data on our behalf, this is governed by a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.

Under its current technical configuration, this website does not transfer personal data to countries outside the European Union or European Economic Area. If you choose to use external services, their separate privacy information applies.

8. Retention periods

We retain personal data only for as long as required for its purpose, or as required by statutory retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Contact enquiries are generally deleted once fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate follow-up matters requiring documentation apply. Technical logs are deleted or anonymised in accordance with the retention periods applicable to the IONOS hosting service used.

9. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16 GDPR),
  • request erasure or restriction of processing (Articles 17 and 18 GDPR),
  • receive data in a portable format (Article 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21 GDPR),
  • withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, datenschutz.hessen.de. You may also contact the supervisory authority for your habitual residence, place of work or the location of the alleged infringement.

10. Right to object

Where we process personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

11. Updates

We update this privacy policy when website functions, the services we use or legal requirements change.
