WEITER7

From your personal vision to the right next step.

WEITER7 combines orientation, deliberate prioritisation and small experiments in a development cycle designed for everyday life. The method helps you choose the Future Skill that offers the most meaningful opportunity for change in your life right now.

WEITER7 is the new name for the Future Skills Institut’s seven-step development method.

What WEITER7 stands for

Individual. Context-sensitive. Open to learning.

The method treats development as a recurring process. It provides structure without prescribing a linear path or a universal development goal.

01

Personally relevant

Your vision and current circumstances determine which development step can make a meaningful difference.

02

Deliberately focused

Choose one meaningful priority from 24 skills and 96 subskills, rather than trying to improve everything at once.

03

Tested in everyday life

Small experiments create experience. Reflection helps you decide what to keep, change or leave behind.

The WEITER7 cycle

Seven steps. Three clear phases.

The phases make the process easier to navigate. The seven steps retain the depth of the original development approach.

Phase 1Steps 1–3

Find your direction

1
Develop your visionHow would I like to shape my life, from where I stand today?
2
Reality checkWhat resources and constraints shape my situation?
3
Establish your directionHow would I recognise a helpful change?
Phase 2Steps 4–5

Focus

4
Reflect with the frameworkWhich skill or subskill could make the biggest difference right now?
5
Prioritise deliberatelyWhat matters now, and what can wait?
Phase 3Steps 6–7

Experiment & learn

6
Design an experimentTry a small, personally appropriate practice activity in everyday life.
7
Reflect on your learningWhat helped, and what should change in the next cycle?
